Russia to switch key facilities to local soft, hardware from 2023

MOSCOW, Nov 30 (PRIME) -- Russia will start moving the facilities of critical information infrastructure to the national software and electronic components from 2023, according to the Digital Development Ministry’s initiative, Deputy Minister Andrei Zarenin said on Tuesday.

“I’d like also to add that the deadline of January 1, 2023 is not the date when everyone has already switched, it’s the date starting from which the facilities of critical information infrastructure will start transferring to the national software and hardware transparently for all,” Zarenin said.

The initiative’s format as a presidential decree or a law is still being discussed, he said.
